GFB + BTWB = 💪

GFB has officially partnered with Beyond The Whiteboard


What this means is that for $10/month, you will not only be granted access to the programming, but you will also be able to log, track and analyze your progress as an athlete.


I often talk about focusing on your Circle of Influence (things within your control). Well this is a valuable training tool. If you are "watching what you eat" but not logging and tracking everything that you put in your body, you are not actually prioritizing nutrition. The same applies to your training. Having a database of every metcon you complete, every PR, every midline or accessory session, is incredibly important to you improving. Why? Because we track things we care about. If you care about your money, you budget. If you care about your weight, you measure your food. If you care about your performance in the gym, you track your training sessions. 


Beyond The Whiteboard is hands down the best resource out there. There is even an easy to use mobile app! Let's take a look at how to use it.

When you open the BTWB app, the first thing you will see is your to-do list. You will have listed all of the GFB work for the day. Let's say you start with back squats. *Tap "Back Squat 5x5"*

After you open "Back Squat 5x5," you will have the option to see your history ("Your Posts") or go ahead and tap "Log".  

So apparently I have done 5x5 squats 2 other times before. Back in 2013, I hit 335 for each set. Maybe today I feel like I can beat that, so let's start the workout and log as I go. 

I'm going to try and hit 340 for each set, so here we go. If I am successful, I know my total weight lifted should be significantly higher than the last time I did this.

 And there you have it. A 5-pound PR per set, which resulted in 125 more total pounds moved. 


It's a very simple and user friendly system. I am excited for this valuable addition to the GFB program! Thanks for being apart of the family!
